Lord Engine Mount Application Guide (PDF) These compression type couplings consist of bonded rubber joints pressed into the sockets of metal hubs. These dynafocal engine suspensions provide proper flexible support to isolate engine vibrations and reduce noise transmission to airframe structure in all aircraft applications. Careful design assures maximum strength to hold the engine under ultimate load and emergency conditions. Suspensions also distribute loads in most desirable patterns, control engine motions, accommodate thermal expansion and manufacturers’ tolerances.

Worked great...as advertised 👍
Over priced!!!!!
Replaced same mounts that finally failed.
EGT/CHT is good quality and all of the parts needed were included in the basic system.
Petfect
Very good mount
I replaced my 25 year old mounts on my 172 with these and the difference was amazing! On the first flight you could feel the difference with all vibration smoothed out. Great product!
I returned the items because they didnt fit my aircraft.
They work fine, but the service life is rather short. I have to replace them every few years. At more than $ 20 per mount and 10 mounts in the cowling it is a considerable expense. I feel that there should be more durable materials available at the current level of technology.
Lord is overly proud of their product, yet, they should not be. I am now replacing units in our club airplanes that we installed four years ago. Rubber part begins to crack and separate in some cases half way between top and bottom & some 1/4 from bottom. Market is ripe for a competitor to make a better item.

Yes, Lord mount J-12390-1 for example, has 2 halfs and a spacer.
