A true top quality piece of 4130 steel its clean uniform in thickness and color no surface rust from lying around on shelf not a surprise though as all orders from ACS are top quality

This is a beautiful piece of steel, 6 x 12 with a smooth uniform surface, thickness, and color. It is almost too perfect to be cut up, and I am thinking of having it framed and hung as a piece of abstract art. If so, it will be titled A Piece of Steel.

The material arrived in excellent condition, but there was a longer than expected delay for delivery.

The 9x9 sheet had a slight curvature. However my parts were small enough that it shouldnt matter, it was just annoying. AS probably received it that way from the mill. I would have paid more for a flat piece.

Steel was bowed as if cut off roll stock and not properly straightened / flattened. Not good when cutting on laser.

I had to purchase a larger piece of metal (03-25100) than I required due to the smaller size (03-25000) indicated in the catalogue being unavailable on the website. It cost more to purchase and significantly more for shipping. I wonder why the smaller piece couldnt be sheared from a larger sheet as a stocked item.
