High quality product, seals the nitrogen pressures and I do not have to rely on only the Schrader valve to seal. Once you understand how the valve works, it is easy. Release the locking, turn out by hand until it stops then wrench past the resistance to open. Plautus use this feature to service landing gear struts.

Right part, fair price. Don’t try to remove it from the strut by the 5/8 nut, the base nut is 3/4, and that’s the one if you are going to do fluid service. The 5/8 only needs small amount of CCW turn to allow your strut gas to pass via the depressable valve stem. If you need to release a little after overfill, only a crack open of the 5/8 and then a few quick fingernail stabs on the stem will do the trick if it’s under any weight load. Make sure rubber o-ring is there (comes with), and my Cessna 182L calls for AN901-5A gasket also. Parts Manual calls it an o-ring.

Use gasket AN6227B-4 for this strut valve. (See Accessories)
The manufacturer is AVALCO. The dimensions are 1.784" in length with a 3/4 wrench size. This will be the widest part of the unit. It will have a 1/2-20 thread size.
Per the supplier: No this is not a replacement for that part.
The manufacturer does not recommend replacing the o-ring, you would need to replace the whole unit.
