Since I needed a simple pitot and tubing to go with the ASI, I figured Id order the combo. The ASI looks good. The pitot is a foot long piece of rough cut aluminum tubing with the ends unfinished and closed up. The tubing? I think the catalog says 5 feet, but I got a piece 10 inches long. Yeah, 10 inches long. Yes, I know , a trip to the hardware store and a few seconds with a file and drill bit will make things right. But the point of ordering the combo was to not have to make an extra trip.

This would include the gauge and kit to make a pitot system. We believe you would need to add a static port to make it a true pitot static system. The pitot tube measures ram air pressure and the static port measures static pressure, the gauge uses both to determine airspeed.
The instrument in this kit is designed to be mounted from the backside of the panel.
