Overview

The AL-1 makes an excellent indicator light for displaying boost pump on, gear status, power on, flags, etc. Also, it can be used as a remote warning light for any E.I. instrument featuring an external warning line. The AL-1 is more attractive, operates on less power and is smaller than the old fashioned indicator lights.

The AL-1 has a service life of over 1000 times that of incandescent bulbs. Mounts in a 5/16" hole. Size: .4" diameter x 1" depth. Operates on a 12 or 24-volt system. Comes with 32" leads.

E.I. products include all documentation and certifications

Q: Do these lights come with a jam nut to install them in a 5/16 hole in the instrument panel or how are they installed?

Yes, there is a nut and washer on the threaded portion of the light.

Q: What is the operating current of these leds at 12V and 24V?

This LED assembly uses 10 mA at 12V and 20 mA at 24V.

Q: Do these lights need a resistor or diode to work with a 12V electric boost pump or other load type application?

These have a built-in resistor. They simply need to be wired to bus voltage and ground via switch on either the voltage or ground side.

Q: Are this lights polarity sensitive?

The AL-1X LEDs are indeed polarity sensitive. The red wire is to be wired to bus voltage and the white wired to ground.
