If a part does not pass the inspection criteria, then PowerUp replaces the unservicable part with a new replacement part. Very happy with this mag. During run up engine on my Mooney got rough at 1700. Right mag no drop, left mag the engine shut down. I replaced the left mag and engine runs great. Ordered the 4301 magneto for my C-85. I also ordered gasket with it, but it turns out this was not necessary because the magnetos came with the gasket. So I had to return the gasket with the core. The description should say that the gaskets are included.

Installed both mags This mag after installing at annual experienced a miss from this right mag. Thought it may be a spark plug changed suspected plug. Second engine run up this time when testing left mag engine died this time. Brought back in hanger removed mag and the A&P I.A. had to disassemble mag to find that the condenser wire from the points was not plug on to condenser. It was just laying against it and there was visible burn makes on the spade connector. reassembled installed mag and ran engine again now things are fine. I feel quality control should be better than this.

Mag had weak and intermittent spark out of the box. Returned, replacement mag had internal timing wrong and would not time to the engine using the timing pin. Returning this mag to Kelly for repair.

Yes, that is exactly how it works. You buy the mag first and pay the upfront core charge. We ship the mag same day if it is in stock, if it is not in stock we ship it as soon as possible. Then once you send back an acceptable core we refund the core charge.

Q: Is the 4200 model OK for a core?

Per the vendor: No, only 4300 series Slick mags will be accepted as cores.

Q: Does the 4373R magneto come with a impulse coupling installed?

The Slick 4373 is an impulse coupled unit, and will come with the impulse coupling.

Q: What is the warranty of these magnetos (08-13713 4370,3 Kelly OH Slick Mags) the warranty is decided per hours or time?

|Kelly Aerospace Energy Systems shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of ONE YEAR ON ALL NEW COMPONENTS and SIX MONTHS ON ALL OVERHAULED COMPONENTS. The warranty period begins (unless otherwise noted) from the date of installation into the aircraft.
