Dont use metal can openers for any engine or system based fluids. Metal openers will deposit metal shavings (coatings on the opener) into the oil which ends up in the aircraft engine or system. For example, when testing engine oil (JOAP), the test results could indicate higher than normal metal deposits which is a false positive. USAF and NAVAIR requires non-metallic openers and that is why we see these gems now. Design wise, I would like to see a longer handle for greater leverage.
Works as advertised. I would like it even more if it were made out of metal.
