We ordered this to replace the same battery that was about 18 months old. The plane was hangered and the battery maintained with a battery maintainer. It has a 2 year warranty but our mechanic didn’t activate the warranty at install. I understand that is an issue but Gill didn’t even respond to our support email request through their website. Hopefully we will have more modern technology available for our next battery. We had a very cold snap this winter. Our biggest disappointment was the apparent no response from Gill.
Gill Super Capacity Battery 7242-16
Installed Gill 7242-16 in two year old 206 after OEM battery (unsealed Gill) failed. New battery started to show signs of weakness after ~12 months. At 16 months, battery totally failed - at least one bad cell. Switched to Concorde.
Gill Super Capacity Battery 7242-16
Fantastic battery. My engine never spun over as fast as it does now.
I prefer the sealed batteries, and Gill has a good one here!
