My 15 year old sender was giving me high OP readings in my RV7. Took 5 minutes to replace with this one. Problem solved.
MGL Oil Pressure Sender 150 PSI, VDO 360-430
On a Rotax 912uls (100 hp): Im about in install my third. First failure after 300 hours replaced. Second failure, 150 hours.
second replacement in 12 hours on engine.
This is my third sender in 14 months. We’ll see how long this one lasts. The other two were good stable readings at first and then after 30 hours would begin to randomly shoot off scale high.
This is the third VDO sender I have purchased. This one lasted 30 hours before spiking oil pressure readings, just like the other two. Aircraft Spruce and specialty only sell the product, but I think the VDO sender needs more refining toward reliability. If this sender fails again I will be going to a manual direct reading type of gauge.
