This product works great! I used it with the Garmin GA25 for my Aera 660, now I get better satellite reception. Couldn’t be happier.
AirGizmos Garmin Antenna Aero Cover
PROS: Great looking, very aerodynamic, provides excellent GPS signal reception for my handheld GPS, affordable. CONS: No mounting template provided (which is odd) so marking the hole locations on the fuselage was a bit of a challenge. I used the base to transfer the hole locations, but a paper template would have been appreciated to allow me to use a transfer punch instead. CONCLUSION: This is a significant improvement over having the antenna sitting up on my glareshield - I have never had a loss of signal in the two years I've been flying with it. It looks like a purpose-built aviation GPS antenna as well this doesn't really add any true value, but it does modernize the look of my older airframe.
Gizmo dropped the ball on this one. No four bolt mounting holes. This thing is way bigger than a standard gps antenna. Very unaesthetic. Returned.
