The Earpieces The Clarity Aloft earpieces are used to improve both hearing protection and speech communications. Each earpiece includes a miniature speaker that reproduces speech signals from the aircraft audio system. The replaceable compliant foam tips (Comply™ Canal Tips) which attach to the earpiece contain a pathway for the sound to travel from the transducer to the ear. Used by the military for helicopter pilots, both components of the earpiece, the transducer and Comply Canal Tips, have been tested, used rigorously and meet the most exacting military standards. Replaceable Foam Tips The superior seal is achieved with our patented Comply™ Canal Tips, which are used in high-end hearing aids. These viscoelastic foam tips provide the highest level of hearing protection available by any method including active noise reduction. (ANR) The outstanding noise reduction (35-45dB) in the speech frequencies between 400 to 4,000 Hz results in unsurpassed clarity of voice communications. Resembling foam earplugs, the foam tips are so comfortable because they are compliant to the shape of the ear. Considerable sound science history backs up their impressive performance. Technical specifications on our viscoelastic passive noise reduction (VPNR) are included in the Owner’s Guide. The Noise-Canceling Microphone The noise-canceling microphone used in the Clarity Aloft Headset is a high fidelity noise canceling Electret Condenser microphone with performance optimized for speech frequencies in extremely high noise environments. Stage performers and musicians use this same microphone because they must insist on the highest level of sound reproduction. Low-Profile Headband With its flexible boom arm, this featherweight band is the same one sported by stage musicians and professional performers the world over. Balance and comfort are the result of its elegantly simple design. |

Superb. Super high-quality. Excellent passive noise reduction. Crystal clear, audio, and microphone output. I currently own and have used the other Big brand ANR headset. I like this one better for at least jet aircraft operations. I have not tested it in general AVIATION or prop aircraft. It is lightweight and does not interfere with any type of eyeglasses or hat.
I bought this headset for the brother and he said it works as good as his David Clark set. He told me he made sure he cleaned his ears and said it is best to give the soft ear buds a slight twist and the stay in great .

Clarity Aloft Aviation Headset
Very happy with my Clarity Aloft headset, still finding the proper fittings, as my ear canals are different sizes, to remain seated in my ears. The lightweight design is very comfortable and I forget they are there. Still have to try them in my open-cockpit Skybolt, but in the noisy Canuck cockpit they are very good
Clarity Aloft Aviation Headset
At age 70 my hearing is not what it used to be. I have a lot of friends with noise canceling headsets and I tried them all. The Clarity Aloft is the only one that makes me feel like I am 40 again with good hearing. Dont give up flying because your hearing is going. Just switch to this and you will be amazed. That is of course if you are loosing volume. If you are loosing speech discrimination, an audiologist can tell you which, then maybe not.
Excellent headset. The passive noise reduction is awesome with the included ear buds. Absolutely feather light. Holds it’s position on the head with aplomb. My only grief is with the include case which is too big. I am using it on the A220.
Purchased for my wife as she does not like the over ear/ ear muff type headsets. The Clarity was recommended by the wife of a good friend who also dislikes the ear muff style. We both fly radial engined cabin biplanes. My wife was pleased with the fit and comfort and had no difficulty fitting the ear plugs to her ears. I tried the headset and was impressed with the passive noise canceling capability. Im still happy with my old David Clark H-10-40 but would definitely consider the Clarity as a replacement. Good product.

Yes the Clarity Aloft does come with headset case and stereo/mono ability as well as a 3.5mm jack on the volume control for music. Both models of the Clarity Aloft do not have a push to talk function.
The headband runs behind your head. The headset does not have over the ear covers as they are in ear headphones.
The difference between the Clarity Aloft Standard and Pro headsets is the Pro headset is FAA TSO certified and the standard is not.
All returns are done through Aircraft Spruce.
