Avfab’s PMA approved fiberglass Cessna 340 Tail Cone Stinger provides customers with a robust and economical replacement option of their original Cessna tail cone. Our Tail Cone Stinger incorporates dual inspection panels in the lower portion of the ventral fin, thereby eliminating the need for removal of the tail cone at each inspection. This saves time and money annually.
The factory tail cone was made of ABS plastic which has a tendency to deform and crack as a result of poor resistance to UV rays and solvents. If you’ve ever seen an attempt to repair ABS plastic, you’re well aware that it doesn’t lend itself to repairs of any integrity versus fiberglass that is easily repairable in the field. AvFab’s 340 Stinger Tailcone carries a 12 month warranty which covers workmanship and cracking. Federal Aviation Administration PMA (eliminating the need for field approval). The unit comes untrimmed and undrilled for a great fit. No weight and balance or airframe modifications are necessary.
