For many homebuilders, the production of high quality aircraft metalwork
can be a daunting prospect. There can be hundreds of intricate fittings
to produce and many will require accurate bending.
Magnum Bender has a BIG capacity and is capable of bending 1/8" thick
x 6" wide 4130N.
Magnum Bender uses sets of interchangeable bending bars each with two
different radii to produce high quality bends, up to, and including 90
degrees. Bending bars are hardened and polished and allow for material
'spring back'.
The unique feature of the machine is the Universal Tooling Plate system,
which incorporates slots for a clamping kit, and a row of five ultra
high strength rare earth magnets let into the plate. These permit even
small steel components to be positioned accurately and yet still be moved
with sensitivity. The Universal Tooling Plate permits a wide range of
fixing and location options, which guarantee both accuracy and repeatability
across a batch of parts.
Magnum Bender is available as either an standard version with 1/16",
3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16" and 1/4" radii. Or, as a metric version, with
3 bending bars offering 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm radii. Additional sets
of metric and imperial bars are available. Each machine is supplied with
two pairs of operating levers, 1ft long and 2ft long. An optional 24
Piece Clamp kit is also available.
