World Aeronautical
Charts by NOS are designed to provide standard for the land areas
of the world in a size & scale convenient for navigation
by moderate-speed aircraft. Topograph- ic information includes
cities and towns, principle roads, railroads, distinctive landmarks,
drainage, and relief. Aeronautical information includes visual
and radio aids to navigation, airports, airways,restricted areas,
obstructions, and other data considered pertinent. Scale 1:1,000,000
or 1 inch to 13.7 nautical miles, less detailed than Sectional
and Terminal Area Charts, but useful for longer distance planning.
