CO Guardian upgrades its best selling model, the 352 to the new 353. Model 353P-101 has a brand new sensor that can detect CO as low as 10 part per million (ppm) and up to 999 ppm. Our Detector can now integrate with Garmin G900X, G1000, GNS480, Electronic Instrument EI-MVP50, Advance-Flight Systems model AF-2500/AF-3500, Grand Rapids Sport Series Engine Monitor, Blue Mountain Avionics and Aerosonic/OPT Technolgy Flight op. Sorry, we currently do not Display on the Garmin 430/530.
The data on MFDs may include: CO level, cabin temperature and cabin pressure via RS232 or 0-5V output to the Multi Functional Displays.
The primary function of the unit is to monitor CO levels from 10 to 999 ppm. If the CO level is above 50 ppm, but less than 99 PPM, the amber light will go on. The light will change to red if CO rises to above 100 PPM in less than three minutes and an audible 85db alarm will sound. The alarm can be silenced by pressing the test reset button. The panel light will however stay on until the CO level returns to below 50 PPM. But there is a lot more to this new warning system.
The 353P now has a built in pressure sensor which compensates for altitude up to 25,000 feet. Similar to hypoxia, this becomes more critical as altitude increases and the body's tolerance to CO decreases.
Even when you have your noise-canceling headsets in place, you will be able to hear the 85db alarm.
