Europa XS is the answer to the American pilot’s desire for extra
utility, speed, performance and cabin space. The construction of the Europa
is greatly simplified using high-strength, pre-molded sections for safety
and durability with pre-structured, panelized wings incorporating special “constructor’s
gel-coat finish” ready for
final finish; a feature significantly reducing the complexity and building
time associated with many composite airplanes. Integrating modern aerodynamic
research, exceptionally quiet operation, astonishing fuel efficiency (up
to 55 MPG), long-range cross country capabilities, sport flying, STOL performance
and trailerability (ready in 5 min. to fly), the XS retains all the remarkable
features which have made Europa famous: 160 knot cruise speed, extended
range to 1,000 nautical miles (with optional auxiliary tank), gross weight
to 1370 lbs with 630 lb. useful load, large cabin space and 50% more
baggage area! The 80 HP Bombardier Rotax 912 engine, or turbocharged100
HP model 914 engine, are currently Europa approved for installation.
A tricycle gear Europa is available which retains the special features
of trailerability, superb performance, and economy. Over 500 kits have
been sold worldwide with over 100 kits currently under construction in
the U.S.
