The high performance photoluminescent material used in the Glow Gauge and Glow Meter increase pilot and passenger safety by allowing pilots to more easily monitor their level of oxygen reserves and the flow necessary for a specific altitude. The patentend self-illuminating gauge and flow meter are easy to read during day or nighttime flights. A several minute light charge allows the Glow Gauge and Glow Meter to be readable in low-light conditions for well over four hours.
The photoluminescent Glow Gauge and Glow Meter add to the safety benefits of using supplemental oxygen during night flights. Even below altitudes where oxygen is required by FAA regulations, night vision can be affected by lower levels of oxygen. This risk increases for older pilots, who by the age of 60 require three times the amount of light to have the same vision as a 20 year-old pilot.
