Weighting in at 60% less than conventional starters, our Lycoming
models are easiest to install with no modifications required. FAA/PMA
approved unit, MagnaFlite carries same installation eligibility as
Kelly AeroSpace's OE Prestolite-style starters. MagnaFlite starter is
user friendly in many ways.
No STC approvals or 337 forms are needed
for installation. The MagnaFlite fits all original Prestolite
configurations, using identical airframe baffle and component
attachment points. It meets all requirements for voltage, gear
reduction, direct drive, and counter rotation. MagnaFlite, the
most powerful starter available, provides 65% greater horsepower
than conventional starters, resulting in higher cranking speeds,
and faster start times. In addition, it is designed to last the
TBO of the engine and provides optimum reliability and cranking
power throughout its service life.
