Casedry engine case dryer: The Casedry engine case dryer is designed to eliminate the moisture buildup in the engine crankcase without electricity and for a fraction of the cost of other case dryers. Performance: The casedry engine case dryer contains enough silica gel to dry 170 cubic foot enclosed container at 77% F and 75% humidity. (per the silica rep's engineer) • Casedry attaches directly to the oil fill tube and uses silica gel to remove water, gasoline-range hydrocarbons, sulfur, and nitrogen from the crankcase. • Casedry is especially suggested for engines when preheaters are in use. • Silica gel is non-flamable as well as non-reactive and it retains its volume and shape when fully saturated. • Casedry is an inexpensive way to help eliminate costly repairs and downtime due to corrosion. Casedry installs in 4 easy steps during post flight inspection: Let the engine cool after operation. Remove the oil cap. Install the casedry in the place of the oil cap. Plug the crankcase vent tubes. During the next preflight inspection the pilot must: Remove crankcase plugs. Remove the casedry. Reinstall the factory oil cap.
