ARCHER SPORT AIRCRAFT ANTENNAS

These antennas have been designed by Bob Archer from Torrance, CA utilizing concepts common to military aircraft and space vehicles. The antenna performance is superior to most in use today in private aircraft. The only requirement for max. performance is that the antennas must be installed in accordance with the installation instructions. These antennas are designed to be installed inside fiberglass or other non-conductive wing tips or tail caps of metal or other conductive material aircraft.     MODEL 1 P/N 11-21015-1 Left $88.50 P/N 11-21015-2 Right $87.50 This VOR antenna is designed to fit inside larger fiberglass wing tips on metal (conductive that is) airplanes such as T-18's, RV's Bonanzas etc. The wing tips must have internal dimensions of at least 11"x24" and generally fit better on the bottom surface. The VSWR is normally less than 2.0:1 over a frequency band of 108 to 127 Mhz but could be higher due to installation factors. MODEL 1A P/N 11-21016-1 Left $88.50 P/N 11-21016-2 Right $88.50 Wing tip Com antenna. Looks the same as Model 1 above and fits the same tips as those above but tuned for the Com band. Offered because of pressure from RV builders. Does not perform as well as Model 2 Com antenna but users report good communications at ranges greater than 50 miles. Should be installed so that the maximum height of the tip is utilized to get the most vertical polarization. MODEL 2 P/N 11-21020 $88.50 Tail cap Com antenna for metal (conductive) airplanes installed inside a tail top fiberglass fairing with inside dimensions of at least 10" high x 12" long. VSWR is normally less than 2.0:1 over a COM frequency band of 118 to 136 Mhz.   MODEL 3 P/N 11-21010-1 Left $88.50 P/N 11-21010-2 Right $88.50 Wing tip VOR antenna of same general design as the Model 1 but of a narrower design to fit Mooney tips with internal dimensions of 8" x 24". VSWR less than 2.0:1 over the frequency band of 108 to 118 Mhz. MODEL 4 P/N 11-21025-1 Left $88.50 P/N 11-21025-2 Right $88.50 Wing tip VOR antenna designed for smaller tips than Model 3 and with a 10 degree flare on the top portion and a curled aft portion. VSWR less than 2.0:1 over the frequency band of 108 to 118Mhz.   STYLE 1 OR 2 ANTENNAS NOTE: When ordering wing tip antennas, order antennas with -1 suffix if installing on the bottom inside surface of a left hand tip or upper inside surface of a right hand tip. Order antennas with a -2 suffix if installing on the inside lower surface of a right hand tip or the upper inside surface of a left hand tip. Wing tip Com antennas should be installed only on lower inside surfaces.
