How do I order / pickup an order from the Canadian store?
There are four ways to order from the Canadian store and have the
order sent to you or have it waiting for pickup.
- Call us at 877-795-2278 to place your order with our helpful sales people. Fax us the order at 905-795-3143. If
faxing an order, please include payment info.
- Place your order at www.aircraftspruce.com
- Email us at info@aircraftspruce.ca
- Walk in to the store.
In all cases, please have the part number
from the Spruce Catalog or website handy. It saves everyone a lot of time if we know
what you’re looking for.
3. What is the
difference in your prices from the US locations?
Our prices are about 5% higher than the prices
(converted to Canadian $) you will find on the Aircraft Spruce
website. The prices
in the catalog are printed yearly, so they are not always the current
price. Web prices are always current. We look at our exchange rates
monthly to adjust them if necessary.
The 5% difference includes all costs to get
the product to Canada. You
do not pay any additional charges (except shipping from Mississauga
to you and taxes) for items purchased from the Canadian store.
Items shipped from the United States are charged at the lower USD prices.
4. What
do you stock in Canada? What about things you don’t
stock?
We stock about 10% of the items
in the catalog in our Canadian warehouse. These
products were selected using a combination of the best sellers
in the US, and those best sellers to Canadian customers historically. We also have Canada’s
best selection of headsets for trial in the store as well as
a good selection of GPS and instruments.
For items we don’t stock
in the store we offer our customers two choices:
- For urgent orders, we will
offer to place the order directly for overnight shipment
from one of our two US warehouses.
- For customers who can wait,
we receive a weekly shipment from the Georgia warehouse
of ordered parts. This
shipment is consolidated 2-3 times a week and parts are generally available for pickup within 7-10 days.
5. Can I get everything in the catalog from
Canada?
Back To
Top
Almost. Aircraft Spruce Canada
is a division of Aircraft Spruce and we can order all these items
for you. However, there are
some items we consider to be ‘custom’ orders -
these are most often items that are produced for specific aircraft
or to specific measurements (like autopilots, fuel probes, propellers
/spinners, windshields, etc.). These items will be ordered
from the Corona, CA warehouse and shipped directly to you. You
will be billed in US dollars for these items – we will let
you know at the time you place the order.
6. I
don’t
have a part-number. Can you help me?
Yes, but it’s faster and better if you have a part number. We
stock close to 50,000 items, and the world of aircraft parts is even
bigger than that. If you come in with a bolt or with a list
of parts be prepared for it to take awhile. If possible, please look
it up in the catalog or online first. If neither of us can find the part, we will request a price and
availability on the item through our buyers in the US. They
will talk with the vendors directly and see if we can source the
part for you.
7. Can I order online?
You can, and the order will ship directly
to you from our US warehouses by the shipping method of your choice. The folks in our US warehouses are very quick
and dedicated to our same day shipping policy– often
your order is pulled and packed the same day. The preferred shipping method is Canada Post. We use a consolidator who clears Customs for free and labels your package for delivery. It's fast and inexpensive. If you prefer to pick up your order in the store, simply choose the WILLCALL method when you check out.
8. Can I return
an item to the Canadian store?
If the item was ordered through the Canadian
store, it can be returned here to us. Simply contact us
for a return authorization. Of
course the item has to meet certain conditions (less than 30 days
from date of shipping, in good shape or failed out of box, no special
order returns, etc.) and in some conditions a re-stocking fee may
be applied. Products which shipped from the United States warehouses
must be returned to the Corona, CA facility.
9. Can you ship
epoxies, paints, fire-extinguishers?
Usually. We will ship these items if they meet the requirements
of ‘Limited Quantities’ laws from either our East or West location. Most liquids will
ship if they are less than 1 gallon. These items must ship by UPS Ground or FedEx Ground.
10. What is "Deliver Duty Paid"?
Duty Paid is a service we utilize for you when you select Canada Post, UPS, or DHL as your shipping method. Your invoice from Aircraft Spruce will include all charges for merchandise, shipping, and taxes and your order will be delivered to your door.
